Every research bucket is tested by training the model on one season and validating it on the next — never on data it has already seen. If the edge doesn't survive that test, the bucket doesn't ship.

A bucket is a specific, named pattern (e.g. top-decile historical accuracy and edge over breakeven within a given price range). We don't publish a forecast because the model likes a game — we publish when a bucket with a proven backtest fires.

The same bucket can clear breakeven at one number and miss at another. Wire forecasts are only published when the live price sits in the range where the backtest shows sustained edge.
